Hey, you’ve made it to my first post!
I decided to start this blog for two reasons. First off, I’ve always been into motion pictures, even since I was a little kid. I would spend hours in front of the ol’ CRT watching our degrading VHS collection. Once school came around, the format had changed to DVD. With High School came Blu-Ray. And, although going to the theater was always a special occasion, I still enjoy kicking back in a lazy boy and popping in a disc any day of the week. Overall, I’ve probably watched hundreds of films. – So, at least I’ve got some history going into this.
Second; creatively, I found myself a fish upstream at the dawn of the second decade of the 21st century. Growing dissatisfaction with the direction of mainstream film, along with my film tastes becoming increasingly singular amongst my friends and peers, motivated me to create this blog. I can’t be the only one who ‘dislikes blockbuster A’ or ‘loves film B’ everybody seems to hate, right?
So here I go, offering my unique perspective on the films of today and yesteryear for your enjoyment. Please feel free to comment and share your own take – especially if it disagrees with my own. I love to discuss film, and so long as we can all stay cool and collected, I’d love to debate with you.
