Regularizing

Got that term from Tinfoil Chef. He he.

Schedule is too strict and daunting of a term – and like a used china piggy-bank, completely shatters to bits upon breaking. My original attempts at starting up the CinematiCritic(s) as a regular scheduled thing were unsuccessful, and my eight month hiatus here, while completely unintentional and partially avoidable, still happened. And although I don’t really have anything (or anyone) to apologize for (or to), I let my self down a little.

In the past month, particularly in the past week or so, I’ve been sort of stockpiling reviews and editorials in the hope that I can come up with some sort of regularization of frequency – sans the multi month hiatuses. And I think I’ve come to a comfortable lead now.

Henceforth, I’ll attempt to write reviews about a week or so in advance – posting them here later – so that I’ll have a buffer in case I forget, get too busy, or get sick. That way, I’ll minimize the gaps and actually have a bit of a reliable posting rate.

My goal is three posts a day – Two reviews (Film, TV show, Album, Video Game, Brickfilm, or LEGO Set) and one editorial. I may break that for rare circumstances (these editorials are short op-eds, not a daily blog. And reviews of film & game series, especially when short, might be uploaded together instead of spacing them out) but will at least attempt to stick to it for the rest of this year.

If I need to re-adjust anything (or even write too large of a buffer!) I’ll do so by January 1st.

I really love watching films, and posting on here is actually really enjoyable. I love to share my opinions on films and, although I’ve yet to get any comments, I do appreciate all the pageviews, WordPress group shares, and ghosted exposure.

Thank you for reading!
